Happy Hallowe'en everyone!
For the final submission of this inktober challenge I wanted to go with a hallowe'en theme. Something with jackolanterns again. I wanted to end it with something poignant and special like what I've seen others do for theirs but I guess I liked what I had going for this one instead. In hindsight, I should have thought about Day 31, 30 days ago! Oh well, maybe next year.
Somewhere in the Ever-red forests lay a slumbering race of Jackolantreants who in their sleep have their visage slowly change into something they've seen in their dreams or from their memories of ages past. Every hallowe'en, the little saplings when matured, gain sentience and take their first steps along with their parent(s) who had been patiently awaiting their little one's awakening. Once awaken, they slowly lumber together onwards to ever redder pastures.
